Weaving comfort, curiosity, and quiet joy into everyday spaces.

Studio Olera is a Sydney based interior design studio, layering rich textures and thoughtful details to shape spaces that are as liveable as they are beautiful.

Each project is a true collaboration an exploration of our clients’ values, lifestyle, and vision. The result is a considered balance of function and feeling, interiors that feel authentic and stand gracefully over time.

LEICHHARDT HOUSE

This project transforms a dated townhouse through a complete interior reconfiguration, introducing new finishes throughout including redesigned kitchens and bathrooms. The plan has been re-articulated to improve circulation and optimise storage, creating a more functional and cohesive spatial experience.

A sleek moody palette anchors the interior black timbers, dramatically veined marble, textured tiles, and textured paints combine to evoke depth, tactility, and quiet sophistication.

ANNANDALE HOUSE

This three-bedroom terrace had strong bones, but over time had picked up a few ad hoc additions. The design brings it back to its original character while making it more functional and comfortable for everyday living balancing heritage details with a relaxed, modern approach.

The front façade and principle building is kept timeless and in tune with the conservation area, while the rear becomes more playful and expressive. Inside, layered textures, feature lighting, and moments of colour add warmth and personality, particularly through the kitchen and bathrooms.

NEWTOWN HOUSE

In the heart of Newtown, this project carefully transforms a dilapidated terrace into a layered, thoughtful four-bedroom home. A significant rear extension opens the plan to a contemporary kitchen, living, and dining space. The kitchen flows seamlessly into custom joinery in the living area, creating a cohesive and functional heart of the home, and extends out to the courtyard through full-height glazed doors. Beyond, a separate studio and garage form an additional dwelling, adding flexibility and depth to the site.

A warm, tactile palette of timber, stone, and brass is enriched with textured finishes and playful, unexpected details, adding depth, softness, and personality throughout.

Currently under construction, with completion scheduled for late 2026.

KINGSFORD HOUSE

Originally a modest 1950s suburban home, this project restores its mid-century character while reworking the layout for modern living. A reconfigured rear extension opens into a light-filled kitchen, living, and dining space, with updated bathrooms and laundry, and expanded bedrooms upstairs, including a master suite and a playful rumpus room.

A warm palette of limestone, marble, and soft timbers is layered with rust, olive, and linen tones, creating a calm, inviting home.

Currently under construction, due for completion mid 2026.

Designed as a forever home for a family of five, this new build balances openness with moments of retreat. High ceilings and generous kitchen, living, and dining spaces form the social heart of the home, while the master suite and children’s rooms each with their own ensuite offer privacy and calm.

Arched forms move gently through the home, softening the architecture. Textured tiles and specialty finishes are layered throughout, adding depth and a quiet sense of character.

An elegant material palette of silver travertine, oak, and brass anchors the home, creating a sense of warmth, refinement, and permanence in everyday family life.

Currently under construction, with completion scheduled for mid 2026.
